The Whoozit, like the Baby Whoozit, is suitable from birth (0+). The Whoozit combines visual stimulation with tactile and auditory stimulation and the Whoozit can also help develop fine and gross motor skills. Each element of the Whoozit has been carefully designed to stimulate and develop your baby. The Whoozit can be used as a floor toy, or the Whoozit can be hung to a playpen or similar by the Velcro fastening on the Whoozit top. The Whoozit is tested to EU (BSI) safety standard EN71 and the Whoozit has been approved for children from birth. The Whoozit carries with the CE mark.

Visual development and stimulation with Whoozit
Most babies, when born, have limited visual development. They may be able to see shapes or contrasting colours like black and white, but most can't see in colour. A baby practises seeing in the first few months following birth, experts recommend providing your baby with lots of high contrast colours and stimulus, and lots of black and white to attract their attention. Traditionally babies have been given items in pastel colours, however these toys will not attract the attention of a new baby, you need high contrast bright colours. The Whoozit has lots of black and white on its’ back, and the Whoozit also has black and white on its’ limbs. The face of the Whoozit and the Whoozit ‘hands’ are all in bright colours with lots of high contrasts. Therefore the Whoozit baby toy uses science to help develop your baby’s sight.
Fine Motor Skill development and cause effect cognition with Whoozit
Fine motor skills are those movements involving fingers, hands and wrist. A baby also needs to coordinate these movements with their senses, such as seeing.
The visual effectiveness of the Whoozit encourages your baby to reach out and touch the Whoozit. They learn when how the Whoozit feels when they touch the Whoozit, the face of the Whoozit is soft and furry, made of soft velour, the legs of the Whoozit are silky, made of satin, the hands of the Whoozit have different textures, all exciting for a baby to touch. The baby finds out that if he or she touches one hand of the Whoozit it crinkles, and that another hand of the Whoozit rattles. At around 10 months a baby starts to develop the pincher grip, using the thumb and index finger, when they use this on the nose of the Whoozit they are rewarded with a delighting squeak. And when they use this pincher grip to raise the nose of the Whoozit they will see the hidden Whoozit mirror. As parents quickly learn most babies love mirrors.
Gross motor skills are the bigger movements — such as crawling, standing and walking — that use the large muscles in the arms, legs, torso, and feet. If the Whoozit is used as a floor toy, the Whoozit can help develop gross motor skills. The Whoozit can help with the early stages of this development, encouraging your baby to push up, which will lead to crawling. Put the Whoozit on the floor when your baby is having tummy time. Babies need tummy time, it helps babies to strengthen their back and neck muscles, which are crucial for motor development, helping them to push up, roll over, sit up and crawl. Your baby will want to push up to see the Whoozit face, you can put it just out of your baby’s reach to help encourage earlier crawling. Babies do not always enjoy tummy time, so it is important you try and make tummy time as fun as possible for your baby.
